An unexpectedly hard shot by Gugu Recife in the 12th minute of play forced IMIRIM FC's goalkeeper Jeferson do Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 15th minute, Osvaldo da Mata ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tony Freire was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Tiaguinho Recife took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jeferson do Vale. Jeferson do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. If Nelson Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jeferson do Vale showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gugu Recife, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 30th minute Samuca Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, IMIRIM FC's goalkeeper Jeferson do Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelson Cerezo. Hermínio Senna kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 46th minute Samuca Albuquerque shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tony Freire saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiaguinho Recife's late challenge caught a IMIRIM FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiaguinho Recife helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes Corinthians sp got a freekick which was hit by Tiaguinho Recife. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Nelson Cerezo made the kick off in the second half. Tony Freire was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Délio Varela capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Délio Varela really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Samuca Albuquerque sped through Corinthians sp's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tony Freire. In the 62nd minute Nelson Cerezo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson do Vale saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 63rd minute, Gugu Recife made a precise shot to the right of Jeferson do Vale. IMIRIM FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. Silas de Amorim kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Tony Freire came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by IMIRIM FC's Samuca Albuquerque. But to his dismay, Samuca Albuquerque quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Corinthians sp's Tony Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Corinthians sp from getting a goal against them. 79 minutes into the match, Corinthians sp's goal looked a bit too open when Délio Varela came free, but Tony Freire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute of the game Gernando Nogueira made a throw-in which Kaká Silva played forward. Tony Freire showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Délio Varela in the 84th minute of the match. IMIRIM FC's Jeferson do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gugu Recife in the 89th minute of play. Corinthians sp's Silas de Amorim quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Wilian Rodrigues, made in the 91st minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of IMIRIM FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Corinthians sp:s goal. IMIRIM FC:s Jeferson do Vale showed great skill when he stopped Rodrigo Carioca:s penalty. In the 98th match minute, IMIRIM FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilian Rodrigues to maneuver through the defense. The IMIRIM FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
