Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dadá Linares took the kick off in the first half of the match. With 3 minutes on the clock, João Carlos Campidelis commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Valdo Xavier showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Linares, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Valdo Xavier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teodoro Senna's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Edmundo Varela left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Avatarnense fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Valdo Xavier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teodoro Senna went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Cristóvão Pontes kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Avatarnense's goal looked a bit too open when Teodoro Senna came free, but Valdo Xavier reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 范谦伟 having to interfere. 31 minutes into the match, Mate's goal looked a bit too open when Durvalino de Amorim came free, but 范谦伟 reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Avatarnense's Adriano Pinheiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of 范谦伟. That made the score 2-2 after 33 minutes of play. In the 37th minute Edmundo Varela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but 范谦伟 saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner led Avatarnense's Osmar Melo to fire away a dangerous shot which 范谦伟 despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 范谦伟 made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Edmundo Varela sent off a good shot on target. In the 42nd minute, Gildo Montenegro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdo Xavier took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dadá Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Avatarnense getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Edmundo Varela hit a great ball. After 46 minutes, Durvalino de Amorim mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Avatarnense and the Mate players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mate booed when Avatarnense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durvalino de Amorim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mate's Dadá Linares got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

61 minutes into the game, Adriano Pinheiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. 范谦伟 was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 70th minute Dadá Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adriano Pinheiro struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. 范谦伟 didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Avatarnense. 范谦伟 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durvalino de Amorim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Dadá Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdo Xavier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osmar Melo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 86th minute, Dadá Linares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Valdo Xavier. The goal made the score 4-3. Adriano Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the referee ended the match the Avatarnense players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
