After having played for 12 minutes, Germano Paraibano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sarutaia SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Germano Paraibano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmílson Leme hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 15th minute, Adrianinho Rezende hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Carlos Fernando Pinheiro kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. With splendid footwork Davi Meireles arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-1 by the left pole in the game's 17th minute. Germano Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Barral having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Adrianinho Rezende made a precise shot to the right of Lauro Barral. Navegantes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. A collision led to Navegantes getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Edmílson Leme hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes Navegantes got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Leme. 31 minutes into the match, Orlando Negri had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ulryk Czubski. Sarutaia SC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Orlando Negri was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. After 35 played minutes Navegantes got a freekick which was hit by Edmílson Leme. After 37 played minutes Navegantes got a freekick which was hit by Orlando Negri. Lauro Barral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrianinho Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Germano Paraibano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lauro Barral having to interfere. 45 minutes into the game, Sarutaia SC's Germano Paraibano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lauro Barral made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Navegantes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sarutaia SC were winning 2-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Davi Meireles stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Germano Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Silas Pena hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute Adrianinho Rezende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lauro Barral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adrianinho Rezende was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 67th minute. Sarutaia SC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Lauro Barral made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Germano Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. In the 72nd minute, Germano Paraibano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sarutaia SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-4. Lauro Barral made an important save on a dangerous shot by Germano Paraibano in the 76th minute. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Adrianinho Rezende took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Lauro Barral to make any attempt to save it. If Germano Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sarutaia SC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
