After a defensive mix-up in Guanandi's zone, César Sá stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patrick Sergipano came out of the goal and César Sá tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Guanandi booed when Cojubim FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vítor de Moraes didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Barbosa during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Luís Barbosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Guanandi's José Carlos Vasconcelos in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that José Carlos Vasconcelos's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jonas Meireles was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. Luís Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonas Meireles, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Jonas Meireles stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Vasconcelos's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. When César Sá came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Cojubim FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Sá couldn't finish the play. Patrick Sergipano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Barbosa in the 37th minute of the match. 39 minutes into the match, Guanandi's goal looked a bit too open when César Sá came free, but Patrick Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cojubim FC's Jonas Meireles got control of the ball when Valdo Arce tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonas Meireles was a little too slow when William Maciel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 44th minute. The score was now 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Rafa Tróia made the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Cojubim FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Vasconcelos came free, but Jonas Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 62 minutes into the game, Vítor de Moraes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cojubim FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Guanandi the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cojubim FC's Vítor de Moraes got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Carlos Vasconcelos in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonas Meireles prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 70 minutes into the game, César Sá cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Patrick Sergipano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 77 played minutes Cojubim FC got a freekick which was hit by Vítor de Moraes. 79 minutes into the match, Cojubim FC's goal looked a bit too open when José Carlos Vasconcelos came free, but Jonas Meireles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 81 minutes into the game, when Glauco Alagoano put in a rough tackle. The supporters of Cojubim FC booed when Guanandi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Glauco Alagoano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Anselmo Donatello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonas Meireles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Valdo Arce was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 88th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Carlos Vasconcelos in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jonas Meireles saved Cojubim FC from getting behind. Valdo Arce received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Jonas Meireles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Guanandi's José Carlos Vasconcelos in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cojubim FC's goalie prevented a goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
