In the 3rd minute, Caetano Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 7 minutes into the game, Cipriano Meireles recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jerônimo Santos. Cipriano Meireles showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. The supporters of SC Corinthians Taboao booed when Guerreiros SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Renato Maciel didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Corinthians Taboao's Ramiro Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Charles Sá made in the 22nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by SC Corinthians Taboao's Douglas da Silveira. Jerônimo Santos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cipriano Meireles in the 23rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Munhoz in the 27th minute of play forced Guerreiros SC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cipriano Meireles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerônimo Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. With an all-out effort, SC Corinthians Taboao's Jerônimo Santos threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Cipriano Meireles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 30 minutes into the game, Afonso Severo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Guerreiros SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Corinthians Taboao the free kick. After 30 played minutes Guerreiros SC got a freekick which was hit by Afonso Severo. 36 minutes into the game, Cipriano Meireles lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Jerônimo Santos. When SC Corinthians Taboao's Cipriano Meireles in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Guerreiros SC's goalie prevented a goal. After 43 minutes, Cipriano Meireles made it 4-0 with a short kick to the right side. Guerreiros SC's Jerônimo Santos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Caetano Falcão was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Meireles in the 53rd minute of play forced Guerreiros SC's goalkeeper Jerônimo Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 54 minutes into the match, Ramiro Gerber notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Guerreiros SC's Jerônimo Santos. Jerônimo Santos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jerônimo Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Meireles's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. The audience was convinced that Cipriano Meireles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerônimo Santos was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Richard Santana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício Favoretto in the 63rd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cipriano Meireles in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jerônimo Santos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cipriano Meireles struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Jerônimo Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Corinthians Taboao. Guerreiros SC's Caetano Falcão got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cipriano Meireles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, Guerreiros SC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramiro Gerber came free, but Jerônimo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Cipriano Meireles came up free with the goalie in the 81st minute, the SC Corinthians Taboao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Meireles couldn't finish the play. Jerônimo Santos came out of the goal in the 84th minute to try and stop a shot by SC Corinthians Taboao's Cipriano Meireles. But to his dismay, Cipriano Meireles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. A collision led to SC Corinthians Taboao getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Ramiro Gerber hit a great ball. 92 minutes into the match, Guerreiros SC's goal looked a bit too open when Cipriano Meireles came free, but Jerônimo Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 95th minute Silvinho Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerônimo Santos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that SC Corinthians Taboao were the better team. SC Corinthians Taboao's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
