After 12 minutes of play, Phoenix Fc's Guga França made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Romário Vaz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Alexandre Cunha made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Wágner Carioca sent off a good shot on target. If Guga França had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Phoenix Fc were leading 0-6. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Romário Vaz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Phoenix Fc made a substitution. Percival Arantes replaced Zeng Ping Wei. The crowd rose to their feet as Patrick Netto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romário Vaz. That made the score 0-14 in the 87 minute of play. After 94 played minutes Phoenix Fc got a freekick which was hit by Guga França. After a rather tough play, Chapecoense's Luís Guilherme Lopez got a free kick in the 95th minute. Phoenix Fc's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
