Genílson Cardozo struck a weak shot in the 7th minute. Rodolfo Maranhense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chapecoense. Prodigy Team's Rodolfo Maranhense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Guilherme Lopez in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrézinho Gonçalves in the 13th minute of play forced Chapecoense's goalkeeper Romário Vaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th match minute, Prodigy Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joélson Brodel to maneuver through the defense. Raimundo Terra hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Terra in the 29th minute of play forced Prodigy Team's goalkeeper Rodolfo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Prodigy Team's Fernando Soeiro got a free kick in the 30th minute. Wágner Carioca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Rodolfo Maranhense made a huge save. Andrézinho Gonçalves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romário Vaz having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Zé Augusto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romário Vaz. Chapecoense's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Augusto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Chapecoense were furious when Zé Augusto Santos was red carded, 39 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Chapecoense! Andrézinho Gonçalves walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 46th minute, Zé Augusto ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Romário Vaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. After the first half Prodigy Team were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Wágner Carioca to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 51st minute of the game. One of Chapecoense:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Prodigy Team:s goal. After a rather tough play, Prodigy Team's Jonas Guerra got a free kick in the 55th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Prodigy Team's goal looked a bit too open when Wágner Carioca came free, but Rodolfo Maranhense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrézinho Gonçalves kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Romário Vaz. That made the score 0-5 in the 57 minute of play. Romário Vaz stood somewhat misplaced when Zé Augusto came free in front of goal and shot 0-6 to the left of him in the 60 minute. Prodigy Team's Zé Augusto suffered a concussion in the 63rd minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. When Acácio Vidal fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chapecoense's protests and gave Acácio Vidal a yellow card for diving instead. Prodigy Team made a substitution. Evandro Magalhães replaced Zé Augusto. Acácio Vidal hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Abilio Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the game, Fernando Soeiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Prodigy Team's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Chapecoense the free kick. After 73 played minutes Prodigy Team got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Soeiro. Andrézinho Gonçalves took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Romário Vaz. Romário Vaz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. The audience was convinced that Andrézinho Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romário Vaz was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. Raimundo Terra's late challenge caught a Prodigy Team's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raimundo Terra helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Prodigy Team booed when Chapecoense was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raimundo Terra didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emerson Quintal in the 88th minute of play forced Prodigy Team's goalkeeper Rodolfo Maranhense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Chapecoense's Edmundo Cearense got a free kick in the 90th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Chapecoense's zone, Jonas Guerra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Romário Vaz came out of the goal and Jonas Guerra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Prodigy Team played a much better game than Chapecoense and deserved their victory. The Chapecoense players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
