FIEL ALGUSTA's Raúl da Silveira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Meireles in the 3rd minute of play. In the 9th match minute, SC Corinthians Taboao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mané Cabral to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Murillo Pernambucano in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Santana saved SC Corinthians Taboao from getting behind. Richard Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murillo Pernambucano went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Richard Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tiquinho Soares in the 20th minute of play. In the 22nd minute Tiquinho Soares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Richard Santana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 28 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Murillo Pernambucano sped through SC Corinthians Taboao's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Richard Santana. If Eduardo Cabral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Corderro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ruben Corderro in the 34th minute of play forced SC Corinthians Taboao's goalkeeper Richard Santana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Santana didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Murillo Pernambucano went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. A collision led to FIEL ALGUSTA getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rodrigo Alcântara hit a great ball. Douglas da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiquinho Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cipriano Meireles made a kick off. SC Corinthians Taboao's Richard Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Corinthians Taboao from getting a goal against them. Richard Santana was a little too slow when Tiquinho Soares got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-5. In the 59th match minute, FIEL ALGUSTA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murillo Pernambucano to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Raúl da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of SC Corinthians Taboao booed when FIEL ALGUSTA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Murillo Pernambucano didn't get a good kick on the ball. FIEL ALGUSTA made a substitution. Vladimir Negri replaced Ruben Corderro. Silvinho Velasco hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. SC Corinthians Taboao's Richard Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save SC Corinthians Taboao from getting a goal against them. 70 minutes into the match, Murillo Pernambucano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Richard Santana. SC Corinthians Taboao's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Murillo Pernambucano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. 73 minutes into the match, Tiquinho Soares dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Richard Santana, 0-7. Richard Santana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SC Corinthians Taboao's Richard Santana proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save SC Corinthians Taboao from getting a goal against them. Richard Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Alcântara in the 85th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Eduardo Cabral threw the ball into play from the sideline. SC Corinthians Taboao's Patrick Munhoz quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Vladimir Negri struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Richard Santana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FIEL ALGUSTA. When Betão Gomes fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Corinthians Taboao's protests and gave Betão Gomes a yellow card for diving instead. Betão Gomes hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Murillo Pernambucano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Richard Santana was relentless in the 97th minute of the game.
