The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Caetano Toscano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 2nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Damião having to interfere. Gilmar Abraão kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. José Damião took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wanderson Araújo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manuel Tande didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gilmar Abraão went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. After 17 minutes, Gonzalo Fidensio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sport Club Academy and the Dark Team players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 17th minute, Gonzalo Fidensio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 19 minutes, Gilmar Abraão made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Dark Team's Manuel Tande tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Gonzalo Fidensio had several of the Dark Team's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-0 score and a disappointed Manuel Tande as he didn't even see the shot coming. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonzalo Fidensio got free with Manuel Tande in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Tande made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Gonzalo Fidensio sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 40 minutes, Gilmar Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sport Club Academy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gilmar Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilmar Abraão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Manuel Tande made a huge save. 47 minutes into the game, Sport Club Academy's Gilmar Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caetano Toscano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 55 played minutes Sport Club Academy got a freekick which was hit by Benê Mandrak. In the 55th minute, Caetano Toscano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Gonzalo Fidensio came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Sport Club Academy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonzalo Fidensio couldn't finish the play. Gonzalo Fidensio might have been able to make a better finish in the 59th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Manuel Tande. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gonzalo Fidensio ran back to his position shaking his head. If Gilmar Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mateus Macedo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Dark Team's zone, Gilmar Abraão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Tande came out of the goal and Gilmar Abraão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 69 minutes into the game, Sport Club Academy's Gonzalo Fidensio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Manuel Tande made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Gonzalo Fidensio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 74 minutes into the match, Gilmar Abraão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Manuel Tande. Dark Team's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gilmar Abraão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. In the 78th minute, Benê Mandrak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gilmar Abraão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Manuel Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Dark Team got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Zanette. In the 87th minute, Gonzalo Fidensio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Juarês Zanette's late challenge caught a Sport Club Academy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juarês Zanette helped the player get up and apologised. The Sport Club Academy fans' excitement grew in the 92nd match minute when Sport Club Academy's Gilmar Abraão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 8-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Manuel Tande showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonzalo Fidensio, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. Mateus Macedo charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mateus Macedo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Dark Team's Mateus Macedo got a free kick in the 98th minute. Gilmar Abraão struck a weak shot in the 99th minute. Manuel Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sport Club Academy.
