Boca Juniors's Mathias Sabóia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anselmo de Azevedo in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Gonzalo Fidensio came free, but Mathias Sabóia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian de Souza took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mathias Sabóia. After 35 minutes of play, Sport Club Academy's Christian de Souza made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mathias Sabóia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 45 minutes into the game, Sport Club Academy's Gilmar Abraão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mathias Sabóia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 51st minute Gonzalo Fidensio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mathias Sabóia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gonzalo Fidensio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Sabóia having to interfere. Mathias Sabóia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gonzalo Fidensio showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 58 minute of play. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Emerson Veiga hit a great ball. In the 92nd match minute, Boca Juniors was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldo Marques to maneuver through the defense. Mathias Sabóia made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Gilmar Abraão sent off a good shot on target. Sport Club Academy played a much better game than Boca Juniors and deserved their victory. The Boca Juniors players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
