The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 24 minutes into the match, Real Alvinegro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Marques came free, but Reginaldo Amaral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Tarcisio Marques sped through Real Alvinegro FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reginaldo Amaral. Reginaldo Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tarcisio Marques in the 36th minute of play. 39 minutes into the game, Rodolfo Mesquita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Reginaldo Amaral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Real Alvinegro FC's Reginaldo Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Mesquita in the 47th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murilo Alagoano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Catadupas booed when Real Alvinegro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simão Domingues didn't get a good kick on the ball. Reginaldo Amaral took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Catadupas were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Real Alvinegro FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Betinho Gonçalves took the corner. Catadupas's Betinho Gonçalves was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Reginaldo Amaral in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 57 minutes into the game, Vinícius Loyola was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Alvinegro FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Catadupas the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Catadupas's Betinho Gonçalves tried to score from far away in the 58th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Armandinho Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. André Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reynaldo Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Luiz de Salles kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Reginaldo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armandinho Marques during the 83rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Real Alvinegro FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Armandinho Marques hit a great ball. Armandinho Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute Murilo Alagoano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reginaldo Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tarcisio Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. If Tarcisio Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Catadupas could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Alvinegro FC throughout the match.
