The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's Hélder Ramalho got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Fernando Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tijucal FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernando Cardoso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 8th minute Oséas Berger shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Esteves in the 10th minute of play forced Tijucal FC's goalkeeper Bahadır Serbülend to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute Válbson Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Serbülend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th minute, Dadá Esteves ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bahadır Serbülend was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's goalkeeper Antônio Lago had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Maurício Miranda. Through an outstanding action, after 17 minutes, Antônio Lago successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's Antônio Lago proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF from getting a goal against them. In the 27th minute Válbson Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bahadır Serbülend saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bahadır Serbülend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dadá Esteves, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Antônio Lago made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Maurício Miranda sent off a good shot on target. Bahadır Serbülend came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's Dadá Esteves. But to his dismay, Dadá Esteves quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Esteves in the 39th minute of play forced Tijucal FC's goalkeeper Bahadır Serbülend to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Maurício Miranda's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 42ndth minute, Antônio Lago skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 43rd minute Fernando Cardoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antônio Lago saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's Antônio Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Oséas Berger in the 45th minute of play. After 46 minutes, Edgard Mattos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF and the Tijucal FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 46th minute, Edgard Mattos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

In the 55th minute, Dadá Esteves made a precise shot to the right of Bahadır Serbülend. Tijucal FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Vânderson Sampaio scored 2-3 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Antônio Lago, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fernando Cardoso struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Antônio Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tijucal FC. When Maurício Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Tijucal FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurício Miranda couldn't finish the play. Antônio Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Cardoso in the 67th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Fernando Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's Antônio Lago played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Cardoso in the 77th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Válbson Severo took a quick shot and it went in 4-4 without a chance for Bahadır Serbülend to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 84 minutes, Fernando Cardoso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tijucal FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Cardoso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 87 played minutes, Tijucal FC's Rony de Godoi shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Antônio Lago came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tijucal FC reached it. 90 minutes into the game, Fernando Cardoso cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-4. Antônio Lago was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Oséas Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Antônio Lago took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício Miranda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tijucal FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
