Palmeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Romeu Carioca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. LUIZ PANATO's Romeu Carioca got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Carlos Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonas Soares. When Rony das Neves came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the LUIZ PANATO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rony das Neves couldn't finish the play. After having played for 17 minutes, Aki Guardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LUIZ PANATO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aki Guardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 21 minutes of play, LUIZ PANATO's Carlos Azevedo made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Palmeiras defense, Aki Guardo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jonas Soares. The Palmeiras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jonas Soares should have stopped the shot. Aki Guardo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aki Guardo came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the LUIZ PANATO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aki Guardo couldn't finish the play. Carlos Azevedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Jonas Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony das Neves took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Soares. Jonas Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-6. After 43 minutes of play, LUIZ PANATO's Aki Guardo made it 0-7 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Maurinho Capixaba hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aki Guardo made a kick off. In the 51st minute, LUIZ PANATO's Aki Guardo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Soares. Jonas Soares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-8. Guto Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Otávio Matorin in the 57th minute of play. If Carlos Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Aki Guardo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jonas Soares. That made the score 0-9 in the 64 minute of play. Aki Guardo took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonas Soares. Jonas Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-10. After 71 minutes of play, LUIZ PANATO's Fellipe Cardozo made it 0-11 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonas Soares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 74 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goal looked a bit too open when Aki Guardo came free, but Jonas Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Palmeiras's goalkeeper Jonas Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony das Neves. Aki Guardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Soares having to interfere. Aki Guardo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jonas Soares having to make a save. 85 minutes into the game, Rony das Neves recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jonas Soares. Rony das Neves showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-12. In the 89th minute, LUIZ PANATO's Romeu Carioca ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Soares. Jonas Soares yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-13. Jonas Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aki Guardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Jonas Soares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Romeu Carioca showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-14 in the 95 minute of play. The Palmeiras fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. LUIZ PANATO were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
