In the 19th minute, Murilo Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Zé Carlos da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tubarão EC's protests and gave Zé Carlos da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Tubarão EC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Zé Carlos da Mata hit a great ball. Murilo Alagoano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubens Batista having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tubarão EC's Zé Carlos da Mata got a free kick in the 36th minute. The referee ignored Tubarão EC's protests and gave Rômulo Dias a yellow card for diving instead. Rômulo Dias hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomé Silva in the 66th minute of play forced Tubarão EC's goalkeeper Rubens Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rubens Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Silva in the 66th minute of the match. Murilo Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Rubens Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee felt a red card was in order, 77 minutes into the game, when Rômulo Dias put in a rough tackle. Ediberto Gaspar kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Tubarão EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
