An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Cesinha Gonçalves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dadá Esteves charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dadá Esteves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dadá Esteves to maneuver through the defense. Antônio Lago had in the 47thth minute some difficulties stopping Cesinha Gonçalves's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesinha Gonçalves to make the kick off. Sirinhaem's Cesinha Gonçalves got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's Walmir Leite got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sirinhaem's Kleanthis Variamidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Válbson Severo in the 57th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Cesinha Gonçalves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sirinhaem's supporters rose to their feet, but Cesinha Gonçalves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antônio Lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Sirinhaem booed when AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nilmar da Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cesinha Gonçalves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Antônio Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Sirinhaem's goal looked a bit too open when Válbson Severo came free, but Kleanthis Variamidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antônio Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesinha Gonçalves in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Cesinha Gonçalves made a precise shot to the right of Antônio Lago. AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After 78 minutes of play, Sirinhaem's Jaime Trigo made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antônio Lago was left in no man's land by his defense there! During the 81st minute of the match Basílio de Brito completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Basílio de Brito a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 82 played minutes AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF got a freekick which was hit by Basílio de Brito. Cesinha Gonçalves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the AYRTON SENNA FC - FDFDF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sirinhaem.
