Romeu Carioca might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arí Tróia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Romeu Carioca ran back to his position shaking his head. When Romeu Carioca came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the LUIZ PANATO fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Romeu Carioca couldn't finish the play. Aki Guardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Arí Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Tróia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aki Guardo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Carlos Azevedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arí Tróia. Faro AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Carlos Azevedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. 12 minutes into the game, Aki Guardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Arí Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carlos Azevedo struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Arí Tróia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LUIZ PANATO. Aki Guardo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arí Tróia having to interfere. Arí Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Arí Tróia stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Romeu Carioca's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 39 minutes of play, LUIZ PANATO's Aki Guardo made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Arí Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 46 minutes into the game, Aki Guardo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-8. Arí Tróia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Disappointed in the 0-8 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Aki Guardo made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Aki Guardo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LUIZ PANATO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-9. After having played for 55 minutes, Aki Guardo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LUIZ PANATO's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aki Guardo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of LUIZ PANATO booed when Faro AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus de Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aki Guardo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Arí Tróia when he managed to save the team from getting behind. LUIZ PANATO played a much better game than Faro AD and deserved their victory. The Faro AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
