When Ernani Barros fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo VM's protests and gave Ernani Barros a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Flamengo VM getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Flamengo VM's Gustavo de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Sampaio in the 85th minute of play. Murilo Alagoano hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Real Alvinegro FC had played much better football throughout.
