Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tarcisio Marques started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Catadupas's Tarcisio Marques nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Arí Tróia made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. After a rather tough play, Faro AD's Dagoberto Coelho got a free kick in the 9th minute. With a little luck, Catadupas's André Pires got control of the ball when Rafael de Mendonça tried to sneak it across the goal line. Arí Tróia came out of the goal in the 12th minute to try and stop a shot by Catadupas's Tarcisio Marques. But to his dismay, Tarcisio Marques quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fausto Guimarães during the 15th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 15 played minutes Catadupas got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Guimarães. After 18 minutes of play, Faro AD's Rafael de Mendonça made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. André Pires was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael de Mendonça got free with André Pires in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 22nd match minute, Catadupas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fausto Guimarães to maneuver through the defense. In the 24thth minute of the game Tarcisio Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Faro AD's Arí Tróia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tarcisio Marques took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arí Tróia. Arí Tróia dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Arí Tróia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarcisio Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the match, Mateus de Medeiros dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of André Pires, 2-3. A collision led to Faro AD getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Dagoberto Coelho hit a great ball. Rafael de Mendonça could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but André Pires made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Valdir Paraibano to make the kick off. Valdir Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. André Pires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Faro AD's Mateus de Medeiros got a free kick in the 63rd minute. André Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdir Paraibano, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Valdir Paraibano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. André Pires showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rafael de Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdir Paraibano in the 71st minute of play forced Catadupas's goalkeeper André Pires to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute Rafael de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Pires saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 77thth minute of the game Tarcisio Marques who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Faro AD's Arí Tróia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Catadupas's attack was well implemented in the 80th minute, but when Tarcisio Marques was about to shoot he didn't get a good hit on the ball and it hit the crossbar and flew over. Goal Kick. Arí Tróia was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tarcisio Marques showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-4 in the 81 minute of play. The audience was convinced that Tarcisio Marques's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arí Tróia was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. In the 90th match minute, Faro AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mateus de Medeiros to maneuver through the defense. André Pires came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by Faro AD's Dagoberto Coelho. But to his dismay, Dagoberto Coelho quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-4. When the match clock showed 98 minutes, the score became 4-5 when Tarcisio Marques sped through Faro AD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Arí Tróia.
