Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Adriano de Queiroz took the kick off in the first half of the match. Tubarão EC were furious when Rômulo Dias was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 5 minutes into the game, one of Tubarão EC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 7 minutes, Palmeiras's Mathias Barral got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rubens Batista. Rubens Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano de Queiroz in the 10th minute of the match. After 11 played minutes Palmeiras got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Matorin. 13 minutes into the match, Tubarão EC's goal looked a bit too open when Adriano de Queiroz came free, but Rubens Batista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th minute, Marquinhos Toledo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maurinho Capixaba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rubens Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 21 played minutes, Tubarão EC's Zé Carlos da Mata shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jonas Soares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tubarão EC reached it. 24 minutes into the match, Marquinhos Toledo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rubens Batista, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otávio Matorin in the 29th minute of play forced Tubarão EC's goalkeeper Rubens Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marquinhos Toledo's late challenge caught a Tubarão EC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marquinhos Toledo helped the player get up and apologised. Marquinhos Toledo hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Jonas Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ediberto Gaspar, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adriano de Queiroz in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rubens Batista saved Tubarão EC from getting behind. Jonas Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mauro Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Rubens Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano de Queiroz in the 40th minute of the match. Mauro Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ediberto Gaspar made a kick off. If Marquinhos Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Diniz kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Otávio Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mauro Ferreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonas Soares having to interfere. Rubens Batista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adriano de Queiroz in the 64th minute of the match. Rubens Batista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 69th minute, Palmeiras's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mauro Ferreira fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Tubarão EC's Rubens Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adriano de Queiroz in the 81st minute of play. Rubens Batista came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Palmeiras's Marquinhos Toledo. But to his dismay, Marquinhos Toledo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. After a rather tough play, Palmeiras's Ezequiel Pernambucano got a free kick in the 85th minute. Cristóvão Rosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 89th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonas Soares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristóvão Rosa ran back to his position shaking his head. When Mauro Ferreira came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Tubarão EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mauro Ferreira couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Palmeiras getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Ezequiel Pernambucano hit a great ball. Palmeiras's Jonas Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Palmeiras from getting a goal against them. Palmeiras's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
