Gustavo de Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Miranda in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, Flamengo VM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramiro Senna to maneuver through the defense. Bahadır Serbülend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Rosado, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Bedir Zor kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bahadır Serbülend. That made the score 2-0 in the 23 minute of play. When Rafinha Prado fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flamengo VM's protests and gave Rafinha Prado a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Fernando Cardoso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luís Paulo Maciel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Bahadır Serbülend made a huge save. 40 minutes into the match, Flamengo VM's Sidney Rosado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bahadır Serbülend narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Flamengo VM's Cláudio Coelho got a free kick in the 45th minute. Flamengo VM's Gustavo de Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Miranda in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 54th match minute, Flamengo VM was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duda Sabóia to maneuver through the defense. Carlos Fernando Pires recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oséas Berger in the 61st minute of play forced Flamengo VM's goalkeeper Gustavo de Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes Flamengo VM got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Coelho. Rony de Godoi made in the 74th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Oséas Berger however managed to control. Flamengo VM's Gustavo de Almeida proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo VM from getting a goal against them. Bedir Zor struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Bahadır Serbülend didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Flamengo VM. The supporters of Tijucal FC booed when Flamengo VM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias de Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 83rd minute, Carlos Fernando Pires sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Flamengo VM's Gustavo de Almeida didn't even have to move. A collision led to Flamengo VM getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jeremias de Sena hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 86 minutes, Gustavo de Almeida successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Maurício Miranda in the 87thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gustavo de Almeida, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bedir Zor hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Rony de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
