When Valdir Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Faro AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valdir Paraibano couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Tijucal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valdir Paraibano came free, but Bahadır Serbülend reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes, Maurício Miranda made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Faro AD's Arí Tróia tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Faro AD's Mateus de Medeiros got a free kick in the 23rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Maurício Miranda made a kick off. 55 minutes into the match, Tijucal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Kiko Amaral came free, but Bahadır Serbülend reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Faro AD's Arí Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maurício Miranda in the 56th minute of play. Vânderson Sampaio kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Arí Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maurício Miranda in the 65th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício Miranda in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arí Tróia saved Faro AD from getting behind. Maurício Miranda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiko Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Bahadır Serbülend tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bahadır Serbülend showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abel Marinho in the 73rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Paraibano got free with Bahadır Serbülend in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bahadır Serbülend showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valério Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Tijucal FC's Bahadır Serbülend played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateus de Medeiros in the 79th minute of play.
