Dadá Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Arí Tróia made a huge save. Cacá Toledo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. Dadá Fernandess short, quick shot in the 12thth minute got Arí Tróia to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Valdir Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão de Alcântara showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kiko Amaral in the 17th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amauri Braga during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Faro AD booed when VAXCO 777 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri Braga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zé Paulo Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Arí Tróia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute Kiko Amaral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Faustão de Alcântara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Paraibano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kiko Amaral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Faustão de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kiko Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Faustão de Alcântara having to interfere. If Valdir Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dadá Fernandes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Arí Tróia made a huge save.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kiko Amaral to strike the kick off in the second half. Valdir Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Faustão de Alcântara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Faro AD's zone, Dadá Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arí Tróia came out of the goal and Dadá Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Faustão de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Valdir Paraibano sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, VAXCO 777's Faustão de Alcântara got control of the ball when Valdir Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. A nice corner shot did that Abel Marinho got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Faustão de Alcântara quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 67th match minute, VAXCO 777 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Braga to maneuver through the defense. Arí Tróia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zé Paulo Maia in the 75th minute of play. If Valdir Paraibano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Faustão de Alcântara took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kiko Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Zé Paulo Maia managed to get in a good position for a shot. VAXCO 777's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Paulo Maia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arí Tróia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valério Guerra in the 82nd minute of play forced VAXCO 777's goalkeeper Faustão de Alcântara to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdir Paraibano got free with Faustão de Alcântara in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kiko Amaral did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Faustão de Alcântara 88 minutes into the match. Dadá Fernandes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zé Paulo Maia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. VAXCO 777 had won after a very even match.
