Rubinho Falcão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Esporte Clube Rio Bonito's Rubinho Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Zanette in the 86th minute of play. Celso Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rubinho Falcão having to interfere. In the 96th match minute, Esporte Clube Rio Bonito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Carneiro to maneuver through the defense. A hard and well directed shot from Horácio Mandrak led 97 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Esporte Clube Rio Bonito's Rubinho Falcão became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 3-1. Esporte Clube Rio Bonito's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because COLUMBUS CREW BR had won, even though Esporte Clube Rio Bonito had held more of the ball.
