Enrique Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Enrique Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Ernesto Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 15th minute of the match, managed to save Cavalaria Hermética F.C. from getting a goal against them. The long shot by Thomás Bezerra in the 26th minute really tested Ernesto Tinoco's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Vladimir Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vladimir Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had been going on for 31 minutes, COLUMBUS CREW BR's Celso Zanette got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Ernesto Tinoco. Ernesto Tinoco made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celso Zanette in the 34th minute. Ernesto Tinoco made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Celso Zanette sent off a good shot on target. When Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Cristiano Massa in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Ernesto Tinoco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 48th minute of the match, managed to save Cavalaria Hermética F.C. from getting a goal against them.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Luís de Queiroz to make the kick off. Ernesto Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Baiano in the 52nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celso Zanette in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto Tinoco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedito Arósio charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Arósio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 72 played minutes Cavalaria Hermética F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Benedito Arósio. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Zanette in the 85th minute of play forced Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s goalkeeper Ernesto Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Laércio Tinoco got a free kick in the 86th minute. 92 minutes into the match, Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Celso Zanette came free, but Ernesto Tinoco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 94 played minutes, COLUMBUS CREW BR's Thomás Bezerra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ernesto Tinoco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in COLUMBUS CREW BR reached it. COLUMBUS CREW BR were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
