After a defensive mix-up in Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s zone, Luisão Vianna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ernesto Tinoco came out of the goal and Luisão Vianna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Eusebio Txurio scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ernesto Tinoco, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 8 minutes into the match, Luisão Vianna notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Ernesto Tinoco. Ernesto Tinoco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusebio Txurio in the 11th minute of play forced Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s goalkeeper Ernesto Tinoco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernesto Tinoco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Eusebio Txurio went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 19 minutes of play, Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Luisão Vianna made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ernesto Tinoco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 22nd minute Luisão Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernesto Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Luisão Vianna notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Ernesto Tinoco. Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo Clube de Regatas the free kick. In the 39th minute, Laércio Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernesto Tinoco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luisão Vianna in the 43rd minute of the match. When Luisinho de Barros fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s protests and gave Luisinho de Barros a yellow card for diving instead. Luisinho de Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Flamengo Clube de Regatas were leading 0-7. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Sílvio Luís de Queiroz made the kick off in the second half. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Eusebio Txurio got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 56 minutes into the game, Eusebio Txurio recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ernesto Tinoco. Eusebio Txurio showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-8. After some careless play in the Cavalaria Hermética F.C. defense, Luisão Vianna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ernesto Tinoco. The Cavalaria Hermética F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ernesto Tinoco should have stopped the shot. Ernesto Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luisão Vianna in the 63rd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Eusebio Txurio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ernesto Tinoco. Ernesto Tinoco yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-10. If Luisão Vianna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Eusebio Txurio charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusebio Txurio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Eusebio Txurio hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute, José Paulo Leão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Eusebio Txurio got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eusebio Txurio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's attentive Renatinho Carneiro managed to snatch the ball when Vladimir Hermes made a throw-in in the 91st minute of the game. Luisão Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ernesto Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
