Waldemar Dionísio in the 4thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ivo Melo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Naldo Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luisão Vianna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 12 minutes into the match, Patcha FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Meira came free, but Naldo Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute Luisão Vianna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Naldo Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes, Zé Pedro de Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Patcha FC and the Flamengo Clube de Regatas players grew even worse after the yellow card. Zé Pedro de Queirós hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Ivo Melo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo Clube de Regatas from getting a goal against them. Rodolfo Meira took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Naldo Mendes. Naldo Mendes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. 31 minutes into the match, Rodolfo Meira notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Patcha FC's Naldo Mendes. Naldo Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 36 minutes into the game, Benê Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Patcha FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo Clube de Regatas the free kick. In the 36th minute, Benê Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Léo Gomes struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ivo Melo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patcha FC. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waldemar Dionísio to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Patcha FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Benê Pinheiro hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Souza during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Luisão Vianna could shoot a difficult shot in the 57th minute, which Naldo Mendes however easily saved by the left post. Giuseppe Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Gilvan Pombal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Patcha FC's Naldo Mendes got control of the ball when Luisão Vianna tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flamengo Clube de Regatas's Ivo Melo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldemar Dionísio in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Giuseppe Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Patcha FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Giuseppe Ribeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 71st minute, Giuseppe Ribeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naldo Mendes made a fantastic save in the 78th minute, when Luisão Vianna sent off a good shot on target. Ivo Melo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Waldemar Dionísio's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Waldemar Dionísio in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivo Melo saved Flamengo Clube de Regatas from getting behind. Giuseppe Ribeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Mendes having to interfere. Flamengo Clube de Regatas played a much better game than Patcha FC and deserved their victory. The Patcha FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
