The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino do Valle charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lino do Valle the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sidnei Pimenta struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Ernesto Tinoco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube de Regatas Flamengo. Claudinei Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto Tinoco having to interfere. Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Lino do Valle got his second yellow card of the match in the 95th minute. The referee ordered Lino do Valle off the ground. After a rather tough play, Cavalaria Hermética F.C.'s Lino do Valle got a free kick in the 96th minute. There was no doubt that Clube de Regatas Flamengo were the better team. Clube de Regatas Flamengo's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
