Spectators: 7405 (Terracing: 5605, Seating: 1700, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Pedro Luís Silva took the kick off in the first half of the match. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Baltazar Silva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pomerode FC's Baltazar Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Pomerode FC from getting a goal against them. 11 minutes into the match, Pomerode FC's Dinei Berger sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Osmar Lopes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Pomerode FC's Pedro Luís Silva in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The referee ignored Tijucucu's protests and gave Manoel Machado a yellow card for diving instead. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Silva in the 41st minute of play forced Tijucucu's goalkeeper Osmar Lopes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pedro Luís Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cido Dante made a kick off. Natanael Borges's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baltazar Silva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Pomerode FC's Dinei Berger got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 67 minutes, Pedro Luís Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pomerode FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Luís Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Cido Dante made a precise shot to the right of Baltazar Silva. Pomerode FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 86 played minutes Tijucucu got a freekick which was hit by Cláudio Britto. After a defensive mix-up in Tijucucu's zone, Dinei Berger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osmar Lopes came out of the goal and Dinei Berger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Pomerode FC's Dudu Romero in the 95th minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Osmar Lopes was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for Tijucucu through an amazing save. Pomerode FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Tijucucu to leave the ground with a draw.
