Luverdense Esporte Clube's Horácio de Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Severo in the 27th minute of play. If Diogo Freitas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Rafa da Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Britto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Horácio de Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alan Trigo was shown his second yellow card after 33 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 34th match minute, Luverdense Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alan Trigo to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Francisco de Mendonça in the 35th minute of play forced Luverdense Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Horácio de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jeremias Guerra made a kick off. Faustão Magalhães kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Horácio de Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diogo Freitas, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74th match minute, Luverdense Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustão Magalhães to maneuver through the defense. Luverdense Esporte Clube's Horácio de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Luverdense Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. In the 90th minute, S.E Time do Ganso's Rafa da Costa dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Diogo Freitas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Horácio de Medeiros came out and tried to block the shot, but Diogo Freitas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 94th minute.
