Colômbia V.T's Dorival Nunes couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 19th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Luverdense Esporte Clube. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Paulo da Silveira in the 21st minute of play forced Luverdense Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Horácio de Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 23 played minutes Luverdense Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by Válbson Mota. Horácio de Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jânio Gerber, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horácio de Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jânio Gerber in the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, José Paulo da Silveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Colômbia V.T fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 33rd minute, Zé Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The wind increased when Eduardo Albuquerque made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Colômbia V.T booed when Luverdense Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Faustão Magalhães didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dênis Costa came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Luverdense Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dênis Costa couldn't finish the play. Jânio Gerber took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Horácio de Medeiros. Horácio de Medeiros dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 78th minute José Paulo da Silveira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio de Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luverdense Esporte Clube's Horácio de Medeiros proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Luverdense Esporte Clube from getting a goal against them. If Zé Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Jânio Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Colômbia V.T's supporters rose to their feet, but Jânio Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horácio de Medeiros breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 86 minutes into the match, José Paulo da Silveira had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Horácio de Medeiros. Luverdense Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Paulo da Silveira was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.
