Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valdir Santos in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giuseppe Vander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 8 minutes into the match, Santos's goal looked a bit too open when Moisés Vasconcelos came free, but Giuseppe Vander reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Galáctico FC's Ari Fingkreuw proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Galáctico FC from getting a goal against them. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giuseppe Vander prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 20 minutes, Flávio de Azevedo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galáctico FC and the Santos players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd minute Valdir Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Chiquinho Freire fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos's protests and gave Chiquinho Freire a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Santos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chiquinho Freire to maneuver through the defense. After 27 played minutes Santos got a freekick which was hit by Lauro Quirino. Valdir Santos took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giuseppe Vander. Giuseppe Vander dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafa Eger in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ari Fingkreuw prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valdir Santos in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giuseppe Vander saved Santos from getting behind. If Rafa Eger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Manoel França received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Giuseppe Vander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giuseppe Vander showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moisés Vasconcelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The crowd rose to their feet as Valdir Santos kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Giuseppe Vander. That made the score 0-2 in the 52 minute of play. Santos's Giuseppe Vander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Santos from getting a goal against them. Giuseppe Vander showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdir Santos in the 58th minute of the match. Valdir Santos might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Giuseppe Vander. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdir Santos ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute, Augusto Nascimento hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute, João Adolfo Gonçalves sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santos's Giuseppe Vander didn't even have to move. In the 72nd minute Valdir Santos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Vander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giuseppe Vander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Santos in the 74th minute of play. Augusto Nascimento made in the 82nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Rafa Eger however managed to control. A collision led to Santos getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Nelsinho Batista hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, one of Santos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Santos. 91 minutes into the match, Santos's goalkeeper Giuseppe Vander had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valdir Santos. Valdir Santos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Moisés Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Vander having to interfere. Giuseppe Vander was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valdir Santos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-3 in the 96 minute of play. Galáctico FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
