Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when João Vítor do Vale kicked off to start the match. Edgard Alves hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Regina Apostolorum defense, César Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ruy de Carvalho. The Regina Apostolorum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ruy de Carvalho should have stopped the shot. Wiliam de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Furtado having to interfere. Ruy de Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Paulo Mesquita in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd play minute Maurinho Sarmento came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Ruy de Carvalho. 2-0. Luiz Paulo Mesquita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Ruy de Carvalho came out and tried to block the shot, but Luiz Paulo Mesquita slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Wiliam de Mendonça notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Cabeceirinha's Amadeu Furtado. Amadeu Furtado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Ruy de Carvalho managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when Cabeceirinha's Luiz Paulo Mesquita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. A collision led to Regina Apostolorum getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Jano Sampaio hit a great ball. Claudinho Tande got a throw-in 47 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Maurício Salles. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luiz Paulo Mesquita to make the kick off. Osvaldo Quintal scored 4-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ruy de Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Vítor do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Amadeu Furtado made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Luiz Paulo Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ruy de Carvalho. Regina Apostolorum's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Luiz Paulo Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-1. With an all-out effort, Regina Apostolorum's Amadeu Furtado threw himself towards the right post 61 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wiliam de Mendonça, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 64 minutes into the game, Cabeceirinha's Maurinho Sarmento nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ruy de Carvalho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. Amadeu Furtado was out of position in the 69 minute of play, and Gilvan Maciel capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gilvan Maciel really showed his touch with that goal: 6-2. Luiz Paulo Mesquita struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Ruy de Carvalho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabeceirinha. After a defensive mix-up in Cabeceirinha's zone, Elder Faria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Furtado came out of the goal and Elder Faria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeu Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Vítor do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wiliam de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Amadeu Furtado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dráuzio Meirelles fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cabeceirinha's protests and gave Dráuzio Meirelles a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Regina Apostolorum booed when Cabeceirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dráuzio Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Amadeu Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Vítor do Vale in the 86th minute of the match. Ruy de Carvalho came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Cabeceirinha's Maurinho Sarmento. But to his dismay, Maurinho Sarmento quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-2. For all the effort they put into the match, the Regina Apostolorum players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Cabeceirinha.
