OFF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Valdo Mazza was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Raí Lima's late challenge caught a Yara's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raí Lima helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to OFF getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Raí Lima hit a great ball. When OFF's Geovanni de Queiroz in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Yara's goalie prevented a goal. Gugu Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After a defensive mix-up in OFF's zone, Serginho Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gugu Pena came out of the goal and Serginho Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Agnaldo Toledo blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pedro Vianna having to make a save. 28 minutes into the match, Yara's goal looked a bit too open when Geovanni de Queiroz came free, but Pedro Vianna reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the game, Nelsinho Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. OFF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Yara the free kick. A collision led to Yara getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Frederico Vianna hit a great ball. In the 41st minute, Oswaldo Esteves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelsinho Rosado took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Pedro Vianna. Yara's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. A collision led to Yara getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Guilherme Marquez hit a great ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valdo Mazza to strike the kick off in the second half. After taking down the ball on Yara's corner Fausto de Amorim fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Gugu Pena quite easily take care of the ball. Geovanni de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gugu Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdo Mazza, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Guilherme Marquez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gugu Pena was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. OFF's Gugu Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Mazza in the 71st minute of play. Raí Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. When Geovanni de Queiroz, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 78 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Pedro Vianna was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Geovanni de Queiroz in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pedro Vianna saved Yara from getting behind. Agnaldo Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Vianna having to interfere. Frederico Pinho kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Serginho Hermes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. 96 minutes into the match, OFF's goalkeeper Gugu Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serginho Hermes. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Yara walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
