Dalmo Prado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Osvaldo Sá was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 9th minute. Villa Juniores F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With his leg Amadeu Linares managed to avoid a goal in the 14thth minute, when Villa Juniores F.C.'s Osvaldo Sá fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. The crowd rose to their feet as Osvaldo Sá kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Amadeu Linares. That made the score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. Carlos Eduardo Paulista received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Amadeu Linares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sport Recife's Dalmo Prado in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After 56 minutes of play, Sport Recife's Dalmo Prado made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rômulo Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osvaldo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Linares having to interfere. In the 62nd minute, Nando Veloso hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Osvaldo Sá managed to get in a good position for a shot. Villa Juniores F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Sá was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amadeu Linares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zé Toledo was shown his second yellow card after 87 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Zé Toledo kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. In the 88th minute Luís Guilherme Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Linares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Juan Valle during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 played minutes Sport Recife got a freekick which was hit by Juan Valle. If Osvaldo Sá had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villa Juniores F.C. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
