Edgard Motta might have been able to make a better finish in the 9th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Toscano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Tasso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 23rd minute, Válter Gaspar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Vivaldo Severo came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Frecheirinha AD fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vivaldo Severo couldn't finish the play. 27 minutes into the match, Campos do Jordão's goal looked a bit too open when Válter Gaspar came free, but Denílson Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonardo Guerra charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonardo Guerra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Frecheirinha AD's Leonardo Guerra got a free kick in the 29th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of Frecheirinha AD:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Campos do Jordão:s goal. The referee gave Campos do Jordão a penalty, 34 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Telmo Mesquita, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Frecheirinha AD's Claudinei Toscano. 3-0. Denílson Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Válter Gaspar in the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Campos do Jordão's goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Severo came free, but Denílson Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Válter Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denílson Soeiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Severo made a kick off. Gilberto Sanches charged in rather forcefully in the 55th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Campos do Jordão's Pedrão Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes Campos do Jordão got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Travassos. After a rather tough play, Campos do Jordão's Pedrão Tasso got a free kick in the 60th minute. Denílson Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Válter Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. Frecheirinha AD's Narciso Cruz shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Denílson Soeiro but with some difficulty. In the 67th minute Pedrão Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Vivaldo Severo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frecheirinha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vivaldo Severo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edgard Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Claudinei Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Válter Gaspar fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Denílson Soeiro, passed just outside the right post. In the 83rd match minute, Frecheirinha AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Cruz to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Campos do Jordão getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Tarcisio Tande hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Frecheirinha AD's zone, Pedrão Tasso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Toscano came out of the goal and Pedrão Tasso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgard Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Toscano having to interfere. Válter Gaspar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Denílson Soeiro made a huge save. Denílson Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 97th minute, when Válter Gaspar sent off a good shot on target. Campos do Jordão's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
