Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Francisco da Costa in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamílton Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hamílton Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Tróia in the 17th minute of the match. Sidnei Hermes charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sidnei Hermes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Sputnik FC booed when Catetumbes F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sidnei Hermes didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 19th minute of the match Cláudio Ceresso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Luz skillfully saved the ball. In the 20th minute of the match Cláudio Ceresso shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Luz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 22 minutes of play, Sputnik FC's Francisco da Costa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Emanuel Tróia sped through Catetumbes F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Hamílton Luz. With a little luck, Sputnik FC's Guilherme Vieira got control of the ball when Sidnei Hermes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sputnik FC's Guilherme Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vágner Valladares in the 31st minute of play. After 33 minutes of play, Sputnik FC's Francisco da Costa made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hamílton Luz was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco da Costa in the 36th minute of play forced Catetumbes F.C.'s goalkeeper Hamílton Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Sputnik FC's zone, Sidnei Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guilherme Vieira came out of the goal and Sidnei Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cláudio Ceresso kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. In the 45th minute of the match Zé Carlos de Brito sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Luz skillfully saved the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francisco da Costa in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Luz saved Catetumbes F.C. from getting behind. In the 48thth minute of the game Emanuel Tróia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Catetumbes F.C.'s Hamílton Luz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Catetumbes F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sputnik FC were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arí Félix to make the kick off. Flavinho Brodel kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Hamílton Luz acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 55th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Benjamin Branco. After some careless play in the Catetumbes F.C. defense, Emanuel Tróia kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamílton Luz. The Catetumbes F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamílton Luz should have stopped the shot. After 65 played minutes Catetumbes F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Hermes. 68 minutes into the match, Emanuel Tróia notched a goal, 0-6, to the right of Catetumbes F.C.'s Hamílton Luz. Hamílton Luz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Tróia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Hamílton Luz skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Sputnik FC defense, Rony Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Guilherme Vieira. The Sputnik FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Guilherme Vieira should have stopped the shot. After 82 minutes, Rony Barros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Catetumbes F.C. and the Sputnik FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guilherme Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Hermes in the 86th minute of the match. Guilherme Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidnei Hermes went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-7 was the resulting score. Sputnik FC's Francisco da Costa got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sputnik FC's Guilherme Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Félix in the 96th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Sputnik FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
