Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Vivaldo Severo took the kick off in the first half of the match. Hamílton Luz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Válter Gaspar in the 3rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vivaldo Severo in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hamílton Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ezequiel Matorin during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th minute of the match Narciso Cruz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamílton Luz skillfully saved the ball. Humberto Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudinei Toscano having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Válter Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Frecheirinha AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Válter Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamílton Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 22 minutes into the match, Catetumbes F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Vivaldo Severo came free, but Hamílton Luz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 24 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Frecheirinha AD! In the 26th minute there was a penalty for Catetumbes F.C.. Maurício Cunha stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claudinei Toscano. 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Frecheirinha AD's goal looked a bit too open when Arí Félix came free, but Claudinei Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frecheirinha AD's Claudinei Toscano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Barral in the 34th minute of play. If Vivaldo Severo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Humberto Barral stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Humberto Barral was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. Catetumbes F.C.'s manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Válter Gaspar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claudinei Toscano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Humberto Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Vivaldo Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Válter Gaspar's late challenge caught a Catetumbes F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Válter Gaspar helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Frecheirinha AD getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Válter Gaspar hit a great ball. Catetumbes F.C.'s Hamílton Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Severo in the 68th minute of play. Vágner Valladares charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vágner Valladares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vágner Valladares hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. In the 75th minute Vivaldo Severo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Luz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Humberto Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute, Vivaldo Severo made a precise shot to the right of Hamílton Luz. Catetumbes F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Hamílton Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vivaldo Severo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 88th minute Humberto Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudinei Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Frecheirinha AD's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
