Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sidnei Diniz started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Herreria's Rony de Toledo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Duda Pena. That made the score 1-0 after 3 minutes of play. Afonsinho Fontes's late challenge caught a Herreria's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Afonsinho Fontes helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to BIRUTI FC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Afonsinho Fontes hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the game, Rony de Toledo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Duda Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rony de Toledo in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duda Pena saved BIRUTI FC from getting behind. 15 minutes into the match, BIRUTI FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elano Netto came free, but Duda Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duda Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Diniz in the 16th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Elano Netto reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Duda Pena. The goal made the score 3-0. In the 20th match minute, Herreria was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elano Netto to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Benjamin Ferreira put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Emanuel Ramos. Benjamin Ferreira struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Emanuel Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for BIRUTI FC. Duda Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sidnei Diniz in the 35th minute of play. Arí Seco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Duda Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rony de Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but Duda Pena made a huge save. Elano Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Herreria's Rony de Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Emanuel Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Ferreira, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 48 minutes into the match, Herreria's goal looked a bit too open when Ismael Alves came free, but Emanuel Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Afonsinho Fontes was the one to do the kick off. Ismael Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ernani Pontes hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. When Herreria's Rony de Toledo in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye BIRUTI FC's goalie prevented a goal. If Sidnei Diniz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emanuel Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benjamin Ferreira in the 86th minute of the match. Luizinho Varela sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Afonsinho Fontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, one of Herreria:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Herreria's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
