In the 20th minute Wilton de Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldo Bezerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ronaldo Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Andrade in the 22nd minute of play. Fabiano Rezende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani da Silveira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luiz Fernando Cunha in the 41st minute. 46 minutes into the match, Fabiano Rezende had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronaldo Bezerra. Fla Merda FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fabiano Rezende was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fernando Cunha made a kick off. Claudinho da Fonseca's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ronaldo Bezerra firmly grabbed it by the left post. After a rather tough play, Fla Merda FC's Eliseu Vergílio got a free kick in the 54th minute. Claudinho da Fonseca charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudinho da Fonseca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Eliseu Vergílio fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fla Merda FC's protests and gave Eliseu Vergílio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Fla Merda FC getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Eliseu Vergílio hit a great ball. Ronaldo Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilton de Andrade in the 85th minute of play. Fausto de Sousa scored 1-6 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ronaldo Bezerra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Caturai walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
