In the 20th minute, Ibirataia's Cássio Macedo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Cássio Macedo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Ibirataia protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Cássio Macedo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 19th minute of the game. One of Ibirataia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Alma Castelhana FC:s goal. In the 26th minute, Ulisses Ferreira made a precise shot to the right of Nilson de Azevedo. Ibirataia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Ian Valladares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rafael Geromel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. Rafael Geromel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dudu Tróia went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute Samuel Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafael Geromel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ian Valladares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ian Valladares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafael Geromel having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Enio Matos to make the kick off. 63 minutes into the match, Ian Valladares notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Alma Castelhana FC's Rafael Geromel. Rafael Geromel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 70th play minutes Dudu Tróia shot 2-3, a short shot which went by Rafael Geromel and just under the crossbar into goal. A collision led to Ibirataia getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Samuel Mineiro hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enio Matos in the 74th minute of play forced Ibirataia's goalkeeper Nilson de Azevedo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ian Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ian Valladares in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rafael Geromel, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Nilson de Azevedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enio Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elivélton Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Ulisses Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Ian Valladares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Ibirataia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Alma Castelhana FC throughout the match.
