An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiago Fernandez in the 16th minute of play forced Omori F.C.'s goalkeeper Valdir Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valdir Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russ Bull, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the game, Cabo Frio's Maurício Terra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Guerra made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Jeferson Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 27th minute, Russ Bull got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Carlos Fernando Ferreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alan Baiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Jeferson Gaúcho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute Tiago Fernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Guerra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 39th minute Alan Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Omori F.C.'s Carlos Fernando Ferreira got a free kick in the 40th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Russ Bull in the 42nd minute of play forced Omori F.C.'s goalkeeper Valdir Guerra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeferson Gaúcho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alan Baiano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jeferson Gaúcho didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlos Fernando Ferreira went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. The Omori F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Cabo Frio were winning 1-2.

Dadá de Queirós's late challenge caught a Cabo Frio's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dadá de Queirós helped the player get up and apologised. Dadá de Queirós hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. The supporters of Cabo Frio booed when Omori F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luizinho Andrade didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 55 minutes, Valdir Guerra successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Jerônimo Madureira scored 2-2 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jeferson Gaúcho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Russ Bull could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Valdir Guerra made a huge save. In the 63rd minute Carlos Fernando Ferreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeferson Gaúcho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Valdir Guerra made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Russ Bull sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, Evaristo Félix had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Guerra. Omori F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Félix was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. Alan Baiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeferson Gaúcho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Baiano in the 74th minute of the match. Alan Baiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Fernando Ferreira in the 84th minute of play forced Cabo Frio's goalkeeper Jeferson Gaúcho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Evaristo Félix struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Valdir Guerra didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cabo Frio. Valdir Guerra made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elói Leal in the 86th minute. Valdir Guerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Evaristo Félix went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-5 was the resulting score. After 92 played minutes Omori F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Luisão Teixeira. 94 minutes into the match, Omori F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Russ Bull came free, but Valdir Guerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jerônimo Madureira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Omori F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cabo Frio's performance. The match ended with a win for Cabo Frio.
