Reynaldo Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christiano Sergipano in the 8th minute of the match. Benjamin Cardozo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 10th minute of the match Bernardo Antunes sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Osmar de Senna skillfully saved the ball. After a rather tough play, Piavore FC's Marquinhos Andrade got a free kick in the 15th minute. Reynaldo Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hamílton Saldanha in the 17th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Sergipano in the 21st minute of play forced Thiago FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 minutes, Gilberto Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thiago FC and the Piavore FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Thiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilberto Alcântara to maneuver through the defense. Sílvio Luiz Abreu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st minute, Duarte Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Reynaldo Vergílio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Hamílton Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reynaldo Vergílio having to interfere. 43 minutes into the game, Piavore FC's Hamílton Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Reynaldo Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 46 minutes into the match, Alan Mandrak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Reynaldo Vergílio. Thiago FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alan Mandrak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After the first half Piavore FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sílvio Luiz Abreu to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Christiano Sergipano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Reynaldo Vergílio. Christiano Sergipano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-4. In the 58thth minute of the game Hamílton Saldanha who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thiago FC's Reynaldo Vergílio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 61st minute Hamílton Saldanha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Vergílio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thiago FC's Reynaldo Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Thiago FC from getting a goal against them. Duarte Lira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Reynaldo Vergílio made a huge save. Osmar de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Alcântara in the 69th minute of play. Thiago FC's Reynaldo Vergílio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 73rd minute of the match, managed to save Thiago FC from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Piavore FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Christiano Sergipano hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Duarte Lira made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Vergílio. Thiago FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. After 84 played minutes Thiago FC got a freekick which was hit by Ronaldinho Bezerra. 86 minutes in the game Armando Mattos did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Vivaldo Mangueira. With an all-out effort, Piavore FC's Reynaldo Vergílio threw himself towards the right post 91 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Christiano Sergipano, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The crowd rose to their feet as Hamílton Saldanha kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Reynaldo Vergílio. That made the score 0-6 in the 92 minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Thiago FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Mandrak came free, but Reynaldo Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Piavore FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
