In the 6th minute Elano de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Maraponga FAC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ernani Alves was slow to take the kick. During this time Palmorindo's players had a chance to rest. Jonathan Lopes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Evandro Correia came out and tried to block the shot, but Jonathan Lopes slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 9th minute. Daniel da Fonseca's late challenge caught a Maraponga FAC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel da Fonseca helped the player get up and apologised. 17 minutes into the match, Danilo Santos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Evandro Correia, 2-0. Mané Andrade took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elano de Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano de Almeida in the 22nd minute of play forced Maraponga FAC's goalkeeper Mané Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Palmorindo's Evandro Correia got control of the ball when Jonathan Lopes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Luizinho Mota hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. After 39 played minutes, Palmorindo's Ernani Alves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mané Andrade came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palmorindo reached it. Mané Andrade showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elano de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. After recieving a nice pass, Palmorindo's Ernani Alves tried to score from far away in the 47th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonathan Lopes to make the kick off. Richard Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Richard Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Palmorindo booed when Maraponga FAC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Richard Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Richard Tróia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elano de Almeida in the 76th minute of play forced Maraponga FAC's goalkeeper Mané Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 77th minute Jonathan Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evandro Correia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Palmorindo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Daniel da Fonseca hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 82 minutes, Mané Andrade successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Elano de Almeida's late challenge caught a Maraponga FAC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elano de Almeida helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Elano de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Jonathan Lopes put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Evandro Correia. When the referee ended the match the Maraponga FAC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
