The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Betinho Quintal helped the player get up and apologised. In the 12th minute, Betinho Quintal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mateus Vergílio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Carneiro having to interfere. Carlos Augusto Batista made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Carlos de Queiroz sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Augusto Batista came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by Recife Futebol Club's Carlos de Queiroz. But to his dismay, Carlos de Queiroz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 30th minute, Recife Futebol Club's Raimundo Salgado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 39 minutes into the match, Recife Futebol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Mateus Vergílio came free, but Leonardo Carneiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 40 minutes into the match, Real Parque FC's goalkeeper Carlos Augusto Batista had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos de Queiroz. 42 minutes into the game, Válter Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Parque FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Recife Futebol Club the free kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mateus Vergílio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Recife Futebol Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Carlos de Queiroz hit a great ball. In the 61st minute, Mateus Vergílio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Carlos Augusto Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Maria Secco, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Carlos de Queiroz charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Carlos de Queiroz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Recife Futebol Club got a freekick which was hit by Carlos de Queiroz. In the 70th minute Raimundo Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlos Augusto Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mateus Vergílio struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Leonardo Carneiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Recife Futebol Club's Leonardo Carneiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Leite in the 81st minute of play. A hard shot 85 in the game by Mateus Vergílio from a close distance when the talented Leonardo Carneiro managed to make a qualified save. Recife Futebol Club's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Real Parque FC defense, Raimundo Salgado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Augusto Batista. The Real Parque FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Augusto Batista should have stopped the shot. Carlos Augusto Batista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dário Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
