The supporters of Morere booed when Dionisio SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tales Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. 16 minutes into the game, Dadá Carioca cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Lúcio Dracena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jonas Brito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Dadá Carioca might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lúcio Dracena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dadá Carioca ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 28th minute of the match Carlos Eduardo Peixoto sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lúcio Dracena skillfully saved the ball. In the 36th minute Erivaldo Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lúcio Dracena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonas Brito made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Gilson Britto sent off a good shot on target. André Ceresso charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Ceresso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 played minutes Morere got a freekick which was hit by André Ceresso. In the 43rd minute, Dionisio SC's Felippe Mineiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonas Brito. Jonas Brito yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Erivaldo Luz struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Lúcio Dracena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Morere. In the 68th minute, Diogo Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lúcio Dracena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erivaldo Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Gilson Britto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Morere's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 77 minutes into the game, Dionisio SC's Felippe Mineiro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonas Brito made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Dionisio SC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
