If João Pedro Pitta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Pitta in the 15th minute of play forced Sheldon Cooper PHD's goalkeeper Erik da Fonseca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Eagle Lyon booed when Sheldon Cooper PHD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto França didn't get a good kick on the ball. 20 minutes into the game, Eagle Lyon's Alan Lago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erik da Fonseca made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Erik da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Lago in the 24th minute of the match. It was a well-played corner which Alan Lago managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Eagle Lyon's Alan Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Erik da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Lago in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Eagle Lyon booed when Sheldon Cooper PHD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Augusto França didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 38thth minute of the game João Pedro Pitta who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheldon Cooper PHD's Erik da Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Rosa in the 41st minute of play forced Eagle Lyon's goalkeeper Dráuzio Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. João Pedro Pitta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erik da Fonseca having to interfere. Erik da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Pedro Pitta in the 45th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alan Lago in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erik da Fonseca saved Sheldon Cooper PHD from getting behind.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alan Lago to make the kick off. Erik da Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Téo de Sousa in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Erasmo Pires managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eagle Lyon's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erasmo Pires was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Erik da Fonseca was a little too slow when Alan Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-4. In the 64thth minute of the game Alan Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sheldon Cooper PHD's Erik da Fonseca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alan Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Erik da Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sheldon Cooper PHD's Erik da Fonseca got control of the ball when João Pedro Pitta tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augusto França in the 69th minute of play forced Eagle Lyon's goalkeeper Dráuzio Negri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik da Fonseca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Lago in the 71st minute of the match. A collision led to Sheldon Cooper PHD getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. João Adolfo Pontes hit a great ball. João Pedro Pitta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. João Pedro Pitta's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Erik da Fonseca firmly grabbed it by the left post. Hugo Medeiros hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 81 played minutes, Eagle Lyon's Franklin Cruz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Erik da Fonseca came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Eagle Lyon reached it. Eagle Lyon's João Pedro Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Sheldon Cooper PHD's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Lago came free, but Erik da Fonseca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Eagle Lyon eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
