The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Iuri de Andrade made the kick off in the second half. Ernesto Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Breckenfeld having to interfere. In the 56th minute, Iuri de Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gilberto Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Arruda in the 58th minute of play. Ernesto Trigo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kiko Breckenfeld having to interfere. Kiko Breckenfeld didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Iuri de Andrade went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Eugênio Tróia kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. After having played for 76 minutes, Remo Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Franquinha EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Remo Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilberto Dracena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remo Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Remo Arruda in the 89th minute of play forced Goiás Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Gilberto Dracena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Ernesto Trigo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Goiás Esporte Clube's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
