An unexpectedly hard shot by Flávio Dionísio in the 33rd minute of play forced Flamengo UK's goalkeeper Wolf-Rüdiger Honda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Flamengo UK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Igor Cosme didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54th match minute, Flamengo UK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Araújo to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Naldo Antunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Gaspar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the Flamengo UK and the Goiás Esporte Clube players grew even worse after the yellow card. Igor Cosme hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. After 93 played minutes Flamengo UK got a freekick which was hit by Nestor Antunes. After having played for 95 minutes, Eugênio Tróia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Goiás Esporte Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Tróia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
