When Armando Mandrak was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fred Fonseca got free with Sandrinho Ramalho in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 79 minutes, Claes Falkrans managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C.Atlético Internacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claes Falkrans was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute Romário Botelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinícius Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. C.Atlético Internacional had played much better football throughout.
