Macedonia's Gilberto Azevedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cauã Barbosa in the 7th minute of play. Filipe Santos took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gilberto Azevedo. Gilberto Azevedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 11 minutes into the match, Variant 1971's goal looked a bit too open when Leonardo Leite came free, but Eriberto Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Macedonia's Leonardo Leite in the 12th minute got a chance for a shot 12th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Variant 1971's goalie prevented a goal. After 19 played minutes Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Leonardo Leite. Variant 1971's Filipe Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cauã Barbosa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Gilberto Azevedo having to make a save. Filipe Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonardo Leite during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cauã Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Gilberto Azevedo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Variant 1971. In the 31stth minute of the game Leonardo Leite who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Variant 1971's Eriberto Chaves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Cauã Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th minute, Dorian Tavares made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Chaves. Variant 1971's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Eriberto Chaves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leonardo Leite went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 42nd minute, Marcel Gaspar made a precise shot to the right of Eriberto Chaves. Variant 1971's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Didi Chaves hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half Macedonia were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonardo Leite made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Leonardo Leite reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Eriberto Chaves. The goal made the score 1-4. A well placed Leonardo Leite short distance shot in the 60th minute ended with a hard ball which without a chance for the goalkeeper went staright up into the goalkeepers left cross. After 65 played minutes Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Gláuber de Sousa. Macedonia's Leonardo Leite got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Leonardo Leite took a quick shot and it went in 1-6 without a chance for Eriberto Chaves to make any attempt to save it. Eriberto Chaves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcel Gaspar in the 74th minute of the match. Edmundo de Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 80th minute, Filipe Santos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Variant 1971 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. After 82 played minutes Macedonia got a freekick which was hit by Marcel Gaspar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cauã Barbosa in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilberto Azevedo saved Macedonia from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Macedonia's Leonardo Leite slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto Chaves. That made the score 2-7 after 90 minutes of play. In the 95th minute, Luisão Vianna got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Variant 1971 supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Macedonia's performance. The match ended with a win for Macedonia.
